I love staying at the balcony of my private hospital room. I like the feel of the warm sun under my pale skin and the cool wind caressing my hair. I enjoy looking at the trees, the greenery of the surrounding. There was this perpetual longing in my heart to go outside and have the normal life I used to have. I wish I was born with a normal heart, a normal functioning heart not with the weak almost dying one. If I did, my parents wont be working night and day just to pay the expensive private room I'm in.
My parents visits me everyday, bringing me fruits and flowers. Sometimes, my younger brother
Seung Ho comes with them. He brings me different stuff every time he visits. In return, I teach him how to play different musical instruments. Musical instruments keeps me company when I feel lonely. The doctors and nurses at the hospital often watch me when they have free time.
I decided to return inside. The doctors would be checking me soon and they would have a fit if they saw me hanging out here. I quickly shut the glass door and closed the curtains. I laid my back on my comfy hospital bed and pulled the covers. I can hear foot steps outside the door. Must be my doctors. I hear a knock on the door and it opened, revealing my doctor, Dr. Jung and a boy just as my age. He was wearing a white sportscoat with shirt and a slightly faded blue jeans.
"Good Afternoon Shin Hye. How do you feel?" Dr. Jung asked. He touched my forehead.
"Just fine. I slept the whole day." I answered, my eyes still fixed on the boy's face.
"Good. I want to ask you a favor Shin Hye." he said.
"Sure doc, you know I owe you alot." The boy stepped forward.
"My son would like to interview you for his class project. They were studying Health and needs to interview a patient. I know you're a good girl Shin Hye so I took him here." he stated.
"It would be an honor to interview you Ms. Park. I'll just ask you a few questions then you could rest afterwards." the boy said while flashing a smile.
"I think I should leave you two alone. I'll be on my rounds. Proceed to the office if you're finished." He went outside. Dr. Jung left his son staring at my pale skin, his camcorder in his hands.
