Jang Hyunseung broke off into a slight smile, as he looked at his mobile phone. He was on his break for a month, after they had finished their promotions for their second mini album. Thinking of what to reply to the message, he quickly typed out the words that came to his mind. He smiled, thinking of the person who sent him the message.

His train of thoughts was interrupted by the ball of sunshine from BEAST. He was none other than Yang Yoseob, and the blond had a huge grin on his face. Excitement was lined in his smile, as he questioned, “Yah, who're you talking to? You're smiling so brilliantly!”

“Nobody, and it's none of your business. You shouldn't talk like that to your hyung, either,” Hyunseung replied curtly, as his voice sounded calm but inside him, his heart was pumping heart against his chest.

Yoseob shrugged slightly as he grinned back. “As long as you do your work properly, it's okay!” He jumped back, with his hands behind his back to talk to their leader, Doojoon.

Hyunseung heaved a sigh of relief, as he placed his phone close to his chest. Thank goodness Yoseob had not pursued the matter and left him alone. With a hesitant smile, he headed to the room and got dressed. He was all ready to meet the person who texted him previously.

Headphones blasted several different k-pop music, as the girl did not bother to lower the volume. Her knees were to her chest, as her chin rested on them. She shuddered a little under the temperature of the air conditioner and mumbled several incoherent words under her breath.

She stared outside her window, as her iPod's song switched to that of a ballad. It was raining and it showed no signs of stopping anytime soon. She blew hot air onto the window pane, and wrote her name on it. Park-Hyun-Ae.

Hyun Ae's eyes glowed with melancholy and loneliness. She clutched her phone, and scrolled through the contacts list. A knife of loneliness stabbed her, as she realized that there was nobody she could talk to, whenever she needed comfort. Her only friend was away, somewhere far far away from here and the time difference was so huge, that it would be around midnight there. She didn't want to disturb her, either.

She let a tear fall from her coal black eyes, before closing them.

-

The girl kicked her legs to and fro continuously. Her dyed caramel-brown hair was pulled into a high, messy ponytail and her glassy, chocolate-brown eyes shone. She was clad in a white long-sleeved shirt with printed words “Don't Look Back” and a pair of denim skinny jeans. Over her outfit, was a pink-colored, knee-length coat and she donned brown boots on her feet.

“Sun Hae-ah!”

The girl turned back, upon hearing her name being called. Her lips curled up into a smile, as she jumped excitedly to the male, who was heading her way. Momentarily forgetting about the rain, she dashed off. The male stopped and frowned slightly, as he pulled her hood up. He said, “Aish. Sun Hae-ah, how many times must I remind you? You don't have to rush to me once you see me. What will I do if you fall ill or something?”

Sun Hae pouted as she hugged the male. She put her hood back down, an umbrella covering both her and the male. “Oppa, it doesn't matter now, okay? Plus, it's my turn to nag at you now. Jang Hyunseung, what are you thinking? Coming here without a disguise; Do you want all your rabid fangirls to attack you?”

Hyunseung grinned slightly, as he brought out a multi-colored mask. Sun Hae nodded at the sight of it. Hyunseung grabbed Sun Hae's hand, before they left for a nearby cafe.

“Miss Park?”

Hyun Ae turned to the direction of the voice, to see one of her personal maids, Moon Jiyeon. Jiyeon was the closest person, who she could call a friend in the entire house. Park Hyun Ae, she was filthy rich. Her parents owned the Park Enterprise, which was currently the leading company in the whole of Korea. With parents who believed that she should never mix with someone of a lower status than her, she had stepped out of her house before.

It was only when her mother's closest friend introduced her to her daughter, had she mixed with someone else apart from the butlers and maids in the house. Her daughter was rich as well, but extremely down to earth. Her daughter owned a melodious voice and had an extremely bright-hearted personality. Hyun Ae was always at her happiest moment whenever she was with her.

Shaking away the thoughts of reminiscent and coming back to reality, she asked her maid why did she call her for. Jiyeon responded, “Mdm. Park wants to see you now.”

Hyun Ae nodded ever so slightly, that it was barely noticeable. She brushed her hair, creasing away all the tangles. She left he raised platform and headed for her mother's room together with her maid.

Hyunseung smiled to himself. It was another successful date, where no fangirls had managed to spot him with Sun Hae. He was now back in the dormitory, watching the broadcast of Star Golden Bell with his members. They were all on a break at the moment, having finished their promotions for Shock and Special.

Despite loving the stage, they were all happy when they heard that they were having their break soon. They all wanted their well-deserved rest and wanted to catch up on all the sleep they had missed. However, their break wouldn't last too long, for they had to go overseas and promote soon.

Doojoon was looking through their cafe comments on his laptop, with a cup of water by his side. He was constantly being annoyed by Yoseob and wasn't too pleased about it. He tried to shoo Yoseob away to no avail, as Yoseob was being exceptionally clingy and refused to let go.

“Looks like Dooseob has returned,” Junhyung joked, upon seeing the two. Yoseob let a bright grin as he nodded in agreement. Junhyung had gone to the kitchen to grab some drinks for the three other guys who were watching the program attentively. Kikwang was busy working out at the nearby gym. “Kids! Here are your drinks!”

Dongwoon rushed to grab a drink and opened it within a few seconds. He wolfed the drink down and let out a loud “Ahh~” upon finishing. Hyunseung tried to stifle his laughter. If the fans saw this side of Dongwoon, he was sure they would glomp him any moment.

Just then, Hyunseung's cellphone rang, the familiar ring tone singing. His ring tone was 'Bad Girl' and he never bothered to change it, even though they were already on their second mini album. Dongwoon sighed softly and commented, “Hyung, you should really change your ring tone.”

Ignoring the younger man, he picked up the call and was surprised to hear the person's voice on the other end of the line. “Mom...?”
